To make the online conference more interactive and interesting for participants, you are asked to present live your communication and to answer questions from the audience.
However, in case of lack of functionality and problems in internet connection, you can submit a pre-recorded video of your presentation. The recorded video will be played during the conference via Zoom software, and you should connect to the conference room for live questions and discussion after your presentation.
You should prepare a Power Point (ppt) slide. The oral communications are allotted a total of 12 minutes, and will be followed by a Q&A period with 3 minutes. Questions will be submitted live via online chat; the moderator will select questions for discussion live, and will assemble the remaining questions to be send to the speaker after the conference.
The recorded video must be mp4 and smaller than 100 MB. The file should be saved with your name, presentation type (ORALTALK) and conference acronym (ISO-INVA) (e.g. YOUR_NAME_ORALTALK_ISO-INVA).
If your file is too large: download the free VLC media player. Then go to ‘Media” –> “Convert/Save”. “Add” to select video to be compressed. Set ‘profile value’ (h.264), and type in a new name for your new, smaller file.
You must submit your pre-recorded video until July 6, 2022, for revision and re-submission if case of need, until July 8, 2022.
You will receive a link to connect with the conference room by July 8, 2022.
All live presentations will be recorded and be available for post-streaming on the ISO-INVA website (www.isoinva.com ) until September 30, 2022.
If you do not wish your presentation to be recorded, please indicate this with a reply to our email (isoinvapro@gmail.com ) until July 8, 2022.
To make sure your online communication goes smoothly, you are required to:
Be online and available 15 minutes before the presentation.
Have a reliable and fast internet connection.
Test your microphone and video camera.
Test your slides and make sure they are compatible with a Windows operating system.
Have a non-distracting environment around you during the presentation. The room you are using should be both quiet and the background used as plain as possible.
